Sports Academies

Most sports have sport academies around the world for young athletes’ who want to develop their talents in their field of sports. Academies are for people who take sport seriously while getting an education. Their time tables are worked out according to what sport they want to excel in and the school curriculum set out by the school.

Some sports academies are dedicated to a specific sport or skill for example, Tennis or swimming and some sport academies accommodate anyone for any sport. Any academy will focus all their attention on the individual who shows great potential in a sport. Should that person become a leader or a champion in that sport, it will just boost the image of the academy and create more publicity for them.

Participation academies provide athletes of all abilities the opportunity to access sports with a high standard of coaching. Many of these academies have dedicated professional staff, teaches and coaches to help with their students. Some of the coaches have already has successful careers in their particular fields so therefore have all the experience and knowledge to help grow a truly successful sports person.

Soccer or football is the biggest sport in the world and the players get paid millions every month to perform for their team and win games. The worlds demand for great players is ever growing and so there are many academies in the world that are available for aspiring players with talent.
There are many academies the produce great stars and the La Masia Academy is unquestionably one of the best in the world today. This academy was created by the Barcelonan coach Johan Cruyff. The academy proved to be a great victory and have produced noteworthy players like Carles Busquets, Guillermo Amor, Pep Guardiola and Lionel Messi among many many others.

Another great football academy is Ajax which has received enormous praise for their youth academy. Some of the successful graduates from here are Dennis Bergkamp, Clarence Seedroff, Patrick Kluivert, Rafael Van der Vaart and Wesley Sneijder.

Bayern Munich has one of the best academies in the world. Bayern have produced some remarkable players that have taken the Bundesliga by storm. The German club currently has over 150 first team hopefuls in their academy. Successful Graduates from here are Phillip Lahm, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Toni Kroos and Thomas Muller.

The Old Trafford outfit were one of the first clubs to build their team on young players and have relied on them since the 1950s. Manchester United’s legendary manager Sir Matt Busby preferred a mixture of raw talent along with experience and was famous for producing the immortal Busby Babes who were regarded as some of the most talented players in Europe. Sir Alex Ferguson was a great admirer of Busby’s philosophy and had his own bunch of talented young players that were fondly known as “Fergie’s Fledglings”. United have continued to follow the philosophies of these two great managers and have one of the best youth academies in the world today consisting most of lads from in and around Manchester. Some of the great talent produced are David Beckham, Ryan Giggs, Nicky Butt, Phil Neville, Gary Neville, Paul Scholes, Tom Cleverley, Jonny Evans and Danny Welbeck.
